For 6th through 8th Graders!
Students will learn about the field of retro video game development during this initial camp by creating games similar to those on the original Game Boy using GB Studio! Through easy projects that explain the programming principles underlying platform and top-down games, students will become comfortable with GB Studios in the first half of the week. As the week progresses, students will develop their own concept for a retro game and will work in GB Studios on developing their own creation. Students will have designed and produced a retro video game by the conclusion of camp, and they will have all the resources needed to expand it at home or come back for part 2 later in the summer!
